Another farewell..

Another one is leaving for the promised land Australia.

Cx, cx.. It's been nice knowing you for the past 2 years or so. Cracking all those jokes with you, making fun weird compliments of people and what not. But well, will be seeing you in another half a year. But since we celebrated your farewell, I shall write a post on that. haha =)

Thanks for all those times you taught me, maths, dynamics, psa and all the others. For "layan-ing" me also when I thought I came up with a brilliant idea and discussed it with you, only to know I'm wrong. No wonder no one came out with those ideas before.

It's over.. at least for now

Finally I could breathe a sigh of relief after this crazy, tiring, stressful, scary.. exciting week. Having 3 papers in a week is not a fun thing especially when the Uni suddenly decides to up the ante this semester by making all the papers extra hard compared to previous sem. But well, past is the past right?

Lets just see how it goes when our marks are released on the 18th of July.

Thank God the final paper was alright, at least I hope.

Awkward moments

Growing up in a neighbourhood, there will be times while walking to the grocery store, to school or to college, where you will exchange glances with your neighbours. Those which you do not know very well, having not talked to them before. But you see them often, that is 3-4 times a week while walking, jogging or whatsoever.

But yet you do not know them, when you walk pass them, dilemma overwhelms you. You ponder in your mind whether to smile at them or to just look away and pretend that nothing has happened. But not knowing them, you somehow know their progress in life, as they moved on to high school, college, uni, work. You know which phase they exactly are at, at least for some. You watch them grow; and vice versa.

Awkward feeling, yes I do feel them.

Do you?

I'll flash them a smile when I meet them next time, afterall, I grew up with them.

And really, at this age, how many of us really know our neighbours well?

Draw a Layout Drawing for some jet engine used in some aircraft.. hopefully the foreman who redraws it understands your scribbling which you aptly call it Layout Drawing..

Ahhh.. studying is fun. It's then you really know what your lecturer have been teaching all this while.

Have wits will score?

Have you ever went into an exam, feeling all pumped up. Knowing you're gonna score perfectly well in this exam, remembering all the hard work you've put in.

But when your friend comes over and ask you, "eh ready ah?". To which you reply, "no la, I didn't study the whole week lah, die lah die lah.". Sounds familiar? =p

Okay then you go into the exam hall, open the question paper, only to be greeted with a tricky question. But you think you know it all, "ah, I know the trick lah, where can get me one." So you proceed on doing the question, without caution; because well, you think you know it all what. Then after the exams, you hear your friend discussing about that question. You walk in their conversations and talking as if all you did was right.....

and only to find out you got tricked in the end..

Yea I do feel that.

"Darn!!", You say to yourself.

We calculated it already..

Often times you read about cars, watches, engines, speakers, and different sort of materials which boasts of having been engineered to perfection. Taking into consideration all the factors that could possibly influenced the strength and quality of a certain product.

Take for example a chair. The engineers would have calculated the number of times on average a person would sit on it. He would then have to calculate the specifications of the material used. How much weight could it stand at any given time, how much does it expand when it's hot, how does the material composition changes in different temperature. So many things are taken into account before a chair is put on sale (considering you're buying it from a established company).

It's nice to read about all these claims, having them say that thing have been engineered to perfection, having calculated everything. But often times, those calculations are awfully tedious.

Paul and Sasa's birthday Part 2

We played Taboo. But since we're celebrating Sasa's and Paul's birthday. We decided to let them be the one who reads the clues out. But they will be doing it with their mouth full with cream crackers.

Paul and Sasa's birhtday

Imagine what it feels like, your friends coming over to your house. Then proceed to blindfold you and drive you off. Sounds like it's from drama? like some kidnapping case? Yes and No. Hurm.

For Sasa's and Paul's birthday, we decided to surprise them with a little twist. Instead of those typical, "gather everyone and surprise him/her at her house/workplace". We decided to blindfold and drive them to a place where everyone has gathered (Pearly's condo for that matter).
