Thailand day 2

Wee.. its about time I post these.

Dang, its only the second week and I'm lacking sleep. Having 8am class ain't fun. Especially when it's a 3 hour long tutorial!

They have this whole hotel in the shape of a ship. But the business seems horrible. You may have the most unique hotel. But sometimes you just don't make it.

Waiting for out boat to fetch us to some nearby island where the water is so clear.

Not sure if you can see it. But they even have v6 engines for their boats!! Twin engine.
Imagine having two v6 engines in your car. That's heck alot of power I tell you.

There were paragliding. I tried it, but it was for such a short distance. Dang.

That isn't me in case you are wondering :S

Then we reached the island we were suppose to go. The paragliding was halfway to the island.

You see this sight in every beach, selling beach wears and what not.

Many of them are foreigners. Asians especially.

Our hotel in Pattaya.

There is a swimming pool on the rooftop. But didn't had the chance to use it though =(

They have quite big shopping malls in Pattaya. Or perhaps this one is the biggest there.

The interior of the mall

On an unrelated note. It's sad that Massa might be ruled out for the whole season =(
But this might see the return of Michael Schumacher as a temporary replacement. Which would be cool of course. But hope Massa recovers soon. Having some piece of suspension slamming into your face isn't good.

These days..

Back then, you can normally rely on your teachers or lecturers for guidance in life. Be it morally or either in your career. People who teach were people with principles and well respected by the community. They stand for what is right. They will not say things such as "oh, everyone is like that what" or will they say, "just do whatever it takes to get to the top".

I guess that the job description for lecturers these days isn't to be your moral compass. Either are they required to be people of integrity. Or perhaps that part of the job description was not honoured.

They are just there to teach you of your vocation and to make sure you pass your exams. How you proceed after University, really isn't much of their concern anymore.

I've seen lecturers who won't hesitate to curse or swear when they get ticked off by students and the administration. There are also those who would ask you to always protect yourself first in every situation. Your life is worth much more than your colleagues death.

You wonder at times why so highly educated people turn out to be the worse of crooks. To that I believe that they have the intelligence to device the schemes and wits to escape.

I feel that those who teaches have a higher standard to live by. Not only are they there to teach you your vocations, but they are also there to be your guide. To teach you of the ropes in life and to overcome it the rightful way.

My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.
James 3:1

I believe that it not only talks to teachers in church, but rather to those who call themselves teacher.

Thailand day 1

Hey, as promised =)

The pictures from Thailand, took them using my G10. Kinda regret not bringing the 20D there, you can really tell the difference in quality from a DSLR and a G10. Some people may argue how if the photographer is good, any pictures that he takes will look good. There are some truth to that, I know of people who take really nice pictures using compact cameras. Those who really have an eye for arts. But you can't deny that DSLR simply takes better quality pictures because they have bigger sensors; and of course, you have Full Frame DSLRs which gives superb quality pictures.

Monopoly??

Thailand from the skies

Map of South East Asia at the airport

Suvarnabhumi Airport

We were then brought to this restaurant to eat. It's sooo big. Like eating in some huge park with seats.

They even have their own pagoda inside of their compound!!

They have boat shaped rooms

Some ancient chinese architecture

Garden

We were then brought to this place called NongNooch Tropical Botanical Garden. It's a huge park where there are very big gardens, with animal shaped bonsais, zoo and cultural shows.

10 bath is approx. Rm1
So the entry fee is approx. RM40

Thought elephans were black, but well.
On a side note, elephants is like the identity of Thailand.

You can rent bike to cycle around the garden, it's huge!!

Thailand is very much influenced by Buddhism

Flip flops are cheap there, only Rm5?

Hurm.. at least now you know obesity doesn't just affect humans. Orang Utans do get it too =)

These clothes were drawn by elephants

I tried milking it, then I realized it was fake. Darn.

My mom and I. There were many animal dolls on display.

A good way to know whether your skill at sculpturing is good; is to check whether can a camera with face detector capabilities detect the face of your sculpture. In this case it did. So I guess the sculptor was good.

They have the weirdest things on display

All ants.. Not sure what is the significance of it though.
